Can the dmv suspend my registration for penalties my ex husband owes?

My ex husbands license and registration got suspended. My car was registered to him so therefore the plates were suspended. He sold me the car so I could then register it in my own name seeing how we have not lived at the same address for 4 years. I had to clear up an excise tax in order to do so and that's why the car was registered to him in the first place. He went to the division of motor vehicles to try and reinstate his license and such and the woman turned around and suspended my registration saying we were trying to get around the law. Can she do that? He still has to serve his suspension date and pay all fines and reinstatement fees so I don't see how that is trying to get around the law seeing it has nothing to do with me. Also, she told him to just tell me it's suspended...I have not legally received a letter in the mail stating that my registration has been suspended.

All my life I've been depressed, lonely and accumulating anger inside. I evwn want to kill myself at least once a night. Am I really suppose to believe everything in a book just out of fear that if I don't I'll burn in Hell? Why would God care about someone like me who quesion his motives. I believe in a higher power just I doubt it'll help my depression and loneliness. I wanna fall in love yet God does not seem to want me to. I got arrested for driving with a suspended license. It was due to an out of state ticket. I got this ticket while going to a cousin's wedding in Indiana; I was going from Chicago to New York. Police officer told me that I would get the ticket in mail in less then a month. I was in rent a car at night. I forgot the receipt in rent a car and forgot where I got that ticket. After a month I went to the court and ask them to see if I have received any ticket and they said that there is not ticket on your record. So they told me that the best thing is that I should update my address and we will give you a notification a month ahead before we suspend your license. I did what they said. I got this ticket in 6/25/2010. In NOV I moved to a neighbor city due to my job and re routed all my letters. I was arrested on Sunday 27feb2011 and they told me that my license suspended in JAN and they sent me a notification in DEC. they arrested me and I had to pay $500 for my car and $80 for the towing and now $70 dollars for the reinstatement fee for my license. I am thinking of pleading to get my money back and take the suspension off my record. Anybody knows if I stand a chance. Let me know what do you guys think. How much can a debt collector charge on a traffic fine?

I got a traffic fine a few months back for knowingly driving uninsured. The original fine was 400 dollars. I was put on monthly payments of 40 dollars a month, made my first payment, but missed my second's month payment so I was ordered to pay the fine in full (now 360 dollars). When the time came to pay the full fine, I didn't have the money so my license got suspended. I was then sent a bill for 471 dollars for the full amount of the fine, plus license reinstatement fees. This was about a month ago. When I finally had the money to pay it all off today, the court informs me my total is 664 dollars because the fine went to collections. I don't understand how the collection fees can add up to that much. Does anyone know what I can possibly to do reduce the fine, or what my rights are? I don't feel like I should have to pay that much but I don't have any idea where to start if I want to fight this.

Do you think the Bible contains the whole of God's message to people?

I am curious if you think that it is possible that God said everything that needed said to humankind in the books of the Bible or do you think that he might still be "speaking" to people in this day and age? Men physically wrote the Bible so it is hard to believe that they didn't put it into the context of the knowledge/customs of the people at that time period. My understanding is that some books of the Bible were rewritten, excluded, and probably modified to some extent at some point in history, or am I wrong about that? So the real question is do you think that God would stop speaking to us because I would think that God would want us to understand the message rather than hang on the exact words that ultimately were the work of a flawed human understanding of the message. Why aren't there prophets anymore? Does anyone else think that it possible that as humans have advanced in science and our understanding of the universe that God's message to us right now might differ from the message that was delivered to man all those years ago. An example is "be fruitful and multiply" which would make sence in ancient times where the world didn't have 6 billion people. Let's just say that a few weeks ago I found myself in a very deep meditative state. I felt myself slowly being separated from the room I was in. It was as if I had been a two-dimensional being all my life, and suddenly I had stepped off the screen into a more three-dimensional space. Maybe it would be better described as a fourth dimension? I don't know. The objects in the room were all the same, yet different. The way in which I became separated was very interesting to me. The room seemed to slightly pixelate in the process, as if it had not been "real" all along, as if it had been programed. As I was sinking deeper and deeper into the dark caverns of my consciousness, I found myself in an unexpected place. Although I could still see the room around me, I was looking at it through what I would describe as a spherical wall of screens. To help you imagine it, think of the way a bee or a fly might see the world through it's hundreds of eyes.I was standing (though not physically) in a dark center of space surrounded by these "screens", and I saw the room. I got the sense that this was the "control center" of my mind. Time had completely stopped. Time was irrelevant. A minute or an hour could have passed, and I would not be able to tell you which was true. I was in the midst of eternity. I felt something else was with me. It wasn't physical, but I could feel it's presence close to me. I want to say that it was separate from me, but I suddenly realized that I was it, and it it was me. I asked it to tell me why I was shown this place. It told me that sometimes it needed to remind itself where it had come from and what it's purpose on earth was. It told me it had left small clues in our world to help us remember where it came from and why. Suddenly I was thrown even deeper into space only to find myself (my consciousness) floating above an incredible sight.In the middle of dark space I witnessed something unexpected. I'm not quite sure how to even begin to describe it. I'm not sure words in the English language exist that would be adequate to describe what I saw. In fact while I was deep in it, I thought to myself "How the hell do I describe this when I'll want to explain to someone what I saw???" but I will try. I witnessed our universe being born and reborn over and over and over again at very high speeds. It wasn't like the "big bang", it was more like a loop that constantly turned inside out. It was like the shape of an inverse-rotating donut, or I suppose what some would describe as the symbol for "infinity". It was a giant, infinite fractal. This Universe was not what we believe it to be. It performed a function, and that function was to constantly generate new possibilities. Much like computers in our world (though extraordinarily/severely basic in comparison) the Universe was like a giant calculator/generator producing infinite possibilities through complex mathematical equations.There was a strong presence/consciousness hanging over it. This "calculator/computer" Universe was the creation of this consciousness, and it overlooked every single little action with incredible yet effortless and tireless concentration. I suppose that this presence is the thing to which many people refer to as "God". I felt a oneness with this being. I finally understood that I was it, it was me, it was you, it was the grass, it was the rock, it was the ant, the bird, the wind, the sky, the earth,.... it was everything. It was love, hate, anger, sadness, it was us. Imagine yourself being cut into a quadrillion pieces, and those individual pieces being able to have experiences of their own, separate from the whole. According to my vision that's what our world is. The world and all of us, we are IT. Since I realized what an important moment this was, I did not want to miss asking the big question. My question was "How did you come to be? Where did this start?" It replied in a form of exchanging a thought in my mind, and the answer was that it simply WAS. It just IS. It did not know why or how, in fact it did not care for why or how, it didn't feel the need to know why or how, it just WAS. Since we humans experience a "beginning" and an "end" on this earth via birth and death, it is very difficult for us to imagine something having no beginning and no end. It seems inconceivable, much like the idea of infinity, something without an end. We try to imagine it, but we struggle to come to terms with the fact that something may not have an end or a beginning. I can't say I felt satisfied by that answer for the reason I mentioned just now, but I accepted it. My next question was why we were here. Understanding came to me in the form of seeing. In a manner of speaking it split itself into an incomprehensible number of pieces in order to learn. It was like an enormous calculator

Did i just see the god zeus?

An hour ago, it was 3:00 am, so i went out to hush my dogs becoz they were barking crazily. Anyways, i put them to bed and i just looked at the sky. It was a bit cloudy, and i could see Jupiter rising above my head. Well, i was walking back to the Dogs house to put them blankets incase it rains, and suddenly a HUGE lighting just strikes above my head, it didn't reach the ground, it was in the sky, but very close and loud. So i Ejaculate all over my pants and run to the balgony, were I just see this pink-ish light coming from between two clouds, and a huge red beam of light strikes behind the mountain just near WERE JUPITER IS. I hear this slow and low volume chant as in "Hmmm yii haa", and i see a bearded man descending from the light to the mountain, so i freak out and go hide in my bed. 30 minutes later , after i cleaned up my pants from *** and piss, Took a camera, and got the strength to go and check again. Advice on finding out about my family heritage.?

I'm from England, I'm only 15. I live with my mum and haven't seen my dad in ages. My mums family don't talk much about my dad's family and when I ask them about them it's all hush hush. I really want to know more about my family heritage but I don't know where to start. How do they know that i reinstated my insurance?

Decemer 25 I got my insurance cancelled due to non payment. I recieved a letter from pennsylvania dmv on the 30 stating that if i didnt reinstate my policy in 30 days i would have to surrender my license plates and stickers to them. I reinstated my insurance with the general on january 13. I called them today and asked them if the dmv knows about my reinstatement. I have heard very little on this subject. It seems people believe that god created us just as we are now, or that we have evolved over millions of years from a magical big bang. I think that there is a god. But I also think that god created us to adapt knowing that the world would change and we would need to change with it. Back in 08 I got a ticket for driving with no insurance (temporary lapse). In the county I was in community service is mandatory for this ticket so in addition to all of the court costs I had to pay I was assigned community service. Now this is not a problem for me as I regularly volunteer and had this completed and sent in within 2 weeks (I had 60 days for completion). I then mailed the paperwork to the city court house. Now i am applying for work and one of the companies I am applying for is requiring a complete criminal/traffic record. whilst in pursuit of getting these records I found out that the city claims they never received the paper work and my license was suspended. now I am being told that I need to pay $60 for a warrant dismissal, $95.00 for license reinstatement and because my license was "suspended" I need to re-take the drivers test (written and street) and pay $35.00 for a new license. $200.00 for their mismanagement of paperwork. Help with reinstatement into navy?

I recently got discharged from the Navy in August of 2010 with a General Under Honorable Conditions discharge and I am getting ready to put in my appeal to get a Honorable. But I wanted to see how i would go about going for reinstatement. I feel I was put out on just terms. I was sent to Captains Mast for Failure To Be In Appointed Place at Appointed Time for missing a meeting with my Department CPO. I was late to the meeting due to me finishing a NKO course for a qualification. I did contact my Division CPO to let him know I will be a few seconds late. In Mast i was referred to as disrespectful, doesn't follow orders, and not a good sailor. I was over looked for my knowledge for my job and being able to preform well in several different work areas with full understanding of all equipment in those areas. Ive never been written up for anything above being late to work my 2 years in besides for the Mast I had before for being UA which I did my punishment for and was on track to improving myself as a sailor. I never had anyone represent me and explain everything about the whole discharge. In 2003 I (me and my boyfriend both did) got a ticket for minor in possession of alcohol. Well we never received anything and years later we find out that we had warrants. By this time me and my boyfriend were no longer together and he had been arrested and his ticket was paid off because he just did not want to deal with it. Anyway like 4 years passed and i got a DWI. I was 22 then. I paid my fines and completed all of my probation and the reinstatement fee for my DL and they wouldn't release it to me because there was a hold on my DL because of the unpaid ticket in Port Isabel so i called and told the receptionist the exact same thing and I explained how i never rereceived trial date and how my DL was on hold. She told me the same thing that I would either rereceive trial date in the mail or it would just be taken care of so I never received anything in the mail nor did i follow up on it. (very irresponsible on my part i know). Ok so now i have moved to Tennessee and im trying to get my DL here and they say that Texas still has a hold on my DL. So I call Port Isabel and now they say that there is a warrant for my arrest because i failed to appear in court and they automatically entered a plea of guilty for me they also said i need to fax in a letter entering a plea of not guilty to change it and again i will rereceive letter in the mail with a trial date and that i have to appear in court for that one. What can i do about this? I am not working yet here and i have no money to travel to Texas either. I have heard very little on this subject. It seems people believe that god created us just as we are now, or that we have evolved over millions of years from a magical big bang. I'm 16 and live in wisconsin. I just started driving classes and I passed to get my temps. I haven't got them yet but I was planning on it soon. And today I get a letter saying my privilege to a motor vehicle has been suspended. The letter says I may be eligible for reinstatement on december 21, 2012. Help! Caught driving before i had my license reinstated from suspension!!!!?

I live in GA. Had my license suspended for 1 yr for dui & had limited permit to go to & from business purposes, school, & medical. Suspension ended on Oct.6.2010. 3 weeks after i got pulled over (still havent had my license reinstated due to financial problems) I was arrested for "driving while license suspended" even tho i was granted a limited permit. The temp paper permit had my address spelled wrong so it never came in the mail ( i could not prove it was valid). I was actually coming back from a job interview. I have bank statements proving i had no money for reinstatement, that car i was pulled over in was repossed 1 week after i was arrested for nonpayment, I was done with probation, i have one of the old limited paper permits proving it was granted, im 20 weeks pregnant, full time college student, & since the arrest I have had my license reinstated. I still have no job. I plan to plea not guilty & have an attorney appointed to me (no money to hire one). What do u think the outcome will be? Is there a chance I could just politely beg for just a large fine instead of resuspension/probation/jail time? What if i have the money in hand? (i plan to use my $700 left over financial aid). About two years ago I had a suspended DL for an unpaid ticket. I paid the ticket but never paid the reinstatement fee. long story short is i got caught driving an was given a ticket an was told i would receive something in the mail about when to go to court. Missed school days, now suspended license?

In the state of Florida students aren't allowed to miss more than 15 consecutive school days in a 90 day period. Well I did that and I got a letter in the mail about an Intent to Suspend my license unless I go to school for 30 consecutive days with no absences, and receive a reinstatement form from my schools assistant principle saying that I did so. Well here's the bad part, the letter then says towards the end that I must meet this requirement within 20 days! How is that even possible?! But wait, it gets worse! It's near the end of the school year and there is not even 30 days left to go, and I really need to keep my license. I've been told that I can make them up over summer school but I really need to keep my license in order to even get to summer school and my job. So my question is, does the FLDMV check to see if you've been going to school and that your making up those 30 days? Or do they take your license after 20 days no matter what?

I got a ticket but failed to appear in court and pay it. I found out that my license will be suspended on June 26, this sunday. I don't have the money to pay for it so I need to go to court on Monday but by then my license will have been suspended. So I have two questions. This friend moved into a house where the rent takes up most of her income. So this guy she knows said he would move there and help her pay the rent. The problem is three years ago he lived at her house and after staying there for a month he just left leaving a huge electric bill. He also has a long record of arrests for forged checks and various other crimes and she has kids in the house.So of course I thought she was crazy for letting him move there again. However, he has been at her house for three months and has been paying the rent and because he pays the rent he now has the lease in his name. He works at a job that is 30 miles away and doesn't have a license so my friend drives him 60 miles to and from to work daily and then picks him up putting considerable wear and tear and miles on her car. He will sometimes pay a couple dollars here and there for gas. He's been on disability so he is waiting for his license reinstatement letter to arrive soon. I just don't think any of this sounds like a good situation. However. she keeps making him sound like a good guy often focusing on how bad this guys brothers are and that they won't even help this guy out. What does that have to do with anything.
