My drivers license was wrongfully suspended?
I got a ticket in 2008. I honestly thought I paid it along with my other bills that month, and it was only $30. Turns out, I didn't. A detective called my house a little later, told me there was a warrant, and that I needed to take care of it. I did. I went to court then, and it was over. Or so I thought. Turns out, when I got pulled over in 2009, my license had been suspended. I was then told it was because of the ticket in 2008. Okay, so I paid the reinstatement fee. Fast forward to this year, I got pulled over again, and guess what? My DL was suspended. Back to jail. Bonded out. Extremely pissed off. I was told to get a release from the original county I had gotten a ticket in. Guess what? They told me my license had been suspended due to a clerical error! They faxed a release to driver control telling them that. Driver control then tries to charge me another reinstatement fee! I'm out over 1,000 dollars because of a mistake!! How can I get my money back?
