Why did tea partiers list a reinstatement of "Don't Ask Don't Tell" as a prerequisite for raising debt ceiling?

First there is no such thing as THE Tea Party. There are thousands of independent Tea Party organizations around the country. This is ONE MAN who apparently started a local Tea Party group in Kansas who is stating his opinion. You cannot attribute this one view to everyone. It is obvious that the actual leaders in Washington do NOT feel this way since this has not been brought up by any of them.
